I agree about Enemy At The Gates. The producers clearly didnt know a fuck about history of Battle For Stalingrad and messed up each and every damn thing in the movie. This one awfully sucks and people know that.
I saw Band Of Brothers series only a few months ago and it absolutely rocked me. It was really hard to get where i live, but when i got it and watched all 10 episodes I was amazed.

A number of the war movies I like are on the backdrop of a war rather than movies about the actual fighting. Some of the blood and guts films are great too but since these sort rarely get a mention I thought I would mention some of faveorite 'war as a back drop' movies.
