ok there's really something wrong with it.

i did both speed tests, the dutch one and that other one, and they both had the same results.

I got direct ADSL lite of KPN, on the KPN site it says that this SHOULD be the speed of that connection:
- downloadspeed: 1.600 Kbps (appr. 190 KB p/s)
- uploadspeed: 512 Kbps

The shocking results of the speed tests gave me this:
- downloadspeed: 190 Kbits p/s (thats fucking 23 KB per second!!)
- uploadspeed: 378 Kbits p/s

^^ from both speedtests. Look at the download speed, its almost TEN TIMES SLOWER then what is should be! Im gonna call KPN about this shit, fucking assholes.....

just called them, they let me reset the modem via the router/modem site, didnt work.

Then i had this brilliant idea to reset the modem manually, and it worked! Christ that i didnt think of this sooner

what kind of antivirus do you use? try to disable it before you take the speedtest, and then enable it again after that.

it can be some old drivers that fucking around and start conflicts with other drivers, the best thing is to format everything and update all stuff. but its a pain in the ass

Yeah, it sucks when isp's screw around like that.... I hate the stupid modem's the send you.

I had to hack mine to get it to do the things I wanted it to.

The ISP gives you a modem to connect to dsl or cable... but you still don't get "access" to it... it's advanced features are locked out by the isp provider.
