me, i believe its 3 in the past 5 years. My girl recently watched her grandmother die, costs were well over 30+k, she passed on egardless, they make more off these people than you care to admit.

      crawl into your hole.
if a company developed a cure for cancer it would be on the market asap.

the company would benefit from making a shitload on the drug while it holds the patents plus it would get a ton of attention in the media and business community for having top notch research.

The only thing I could think that there eventually could be treatment for is allergies.

For the pharmacy concerns it would be probably more profitable to sell someone like me Claritine and eye drops during 4 months each year during my whole life, then to treat my disease once and forever.

But I am not telling it is like that, i have no particular knowledge in that area.
        I don't use ICQ anymore.

There is obviously a great conflict of interest in many fields of the conventional medicine. Cancer treatment is one of them, diabetes is another.

The reasons are obvious, a cancer treatment like we know it today, is very profitable for a lot of people. Complete industries depend on it.

Take for instance the resitance that Chelation treatments to avoid heart surgery had, despite the aboundance of evidence and results in many parts of the world.

Just read one of the statments of the American heart association recently:

"....The American Heart Association can?t say why some people feel better after having chelation therapy. And we don?t deny that some people actually may feel better after treatment.

The problem is, we question whether these patients feel better because of chelation therapy. It?s possible they feel better because of something else "

Of course if you are a heart surgeon and make $30,000 for an open heart surgery, you would too be doubtful of any new treatments.

Conventional medicine has always been very aggressive to prosecute and discredit alternative treatments. Its always up to the patients and their families, to beleive or not the system and look for different alternatives.

That's so sad. Losing a child must be the most difficult thing to experience.

i have watched and been part of a few cancer deaths, even one this year. cancer exists only because the doctors allow it to. too many pills to sell, too much chemo fees to profit off while people wither and die from a treatment that itself is killing them.

until people revolt against the medical system in this country, nothing will happen.

700k is NOTHING to what these bastards are MAKING OFF EVERY DEATH.
I have to agree here. I am in remission with Nonhodgkins lymphoma for two yers now. I was givin a new drug b4 each chemo treatment. The drug is called Retuxin. The hospital charged 23 thousand dollars for a pint of this stuff. It save my life. When I got the first bill I thought it was a typo on the report.

Fletch, I couldn't agree with you more! I have experienced cancer in my family and currently with a couple of close friends. The only ones who have benefited are the doctors, hospitals, and drug companies. The patients are disregarded and treated as non-humans.

When in the hell is our government going to insure that we all receive the very best medical care? It isn't only Bush who has ignored the problems. Kerry gets on his white horse and tells us that we must take care of our VETS. Sure thing, Kerry. The VA is shutting down VA hospitals all over the country. VETS are on waiting lists for years to receive surgery. My sister is a VET. She finally gave up on the VA in Indiana and went to a private hospital because the VA told her she would have to wait a year or longer before she could have her knee surgery.

What about the wounded VETS returning from Iraq? I wrote to Kerry and my state senators regarding the sad state of medical care in the United States. No email......letters with the facts!

If Bush was spending the war billions on research, this little 8-yr old girl would be alive, and most likely, your grandmother, too, Fletch.
