    Now, THIS is Professionalism!

While at the conference, I had the pleasure of meeting a young lady who goes by the screen name of eroticagirl.

The next day, she handed me a bound portfolio.

Ladies and gents, this happened AT the show.

I've since read it and I am so impressed, I am off to write her an email.

It's rare to meet someone with:

    1. talented writing skills
    2. Immediate showing of a professional nature

I don't think the people in our industry get enough credit for professionalism quite frankly. You hear of a few incidents and all of a sudden we're an industry full of nothing but immature, uneducated rejects from other industries. Show me an industry that doesn't have a small percentage of idiots.

I'm not saying that her handing you a well written portfolio isn't professional, but there are a lot more aspects to it than that. Simple things like making sure to introduce someone you're talking to, to associates that stop by to chat with you. THAT goes a LONG way to impressing me. Simple, everyday courtesies that people tend to overlook is every bit as important as what this lady did.

I can count on one hand the number of people I've met at various shows that weren't "Professional" in MY eyes, given the nature of the events at hand.

Those of you that decide not to attend shows because of these people are the ones who will sadly miss out on what could turn into relationships that will last a lifetime.

I was sitting there with Raven when this happened and I gotta say that I was seriously impressed as well.

Nobody follows up that good AFTER the shows...Let alone AT the shows.
