Adult.com runs 4 Webmaster Access shows a year, there is one person who is banned for trying to ruin it for all of us. In addition, there is someone else who is banned for doing damage at Internext shows. It should be no surprise at GFY that I am not a stranger to banning.
I propose there be bannings from industry(webmaster) events

I couldn't agree more... You want to keep crap out of shows? Make sure they're real webmasters, affiliates, or sponsors.Originally posted by RuiWrong for some of these "industry loosers" this will not stop them, it will stop other decent webmasters that don't fell like beeing rippedoff to see a bunch of drunk and drugged clowns tho
I've got a list of "potential" sponsors so deep that I won't be able to do a review on each and every one of them on my review site for at least a year, and then... there will be more.
I've got plenty of cash, and coughing up $250-$300 isn't the issue. The ISSUE is, as an "atendee" I'm not going to hand over C-notes to "shake the hands of people" I already know online. As a matter of fact - Sponsors should be pissed.... I would be... How much is a booth? $2000 large? (at the least?)
I can't, won't and will not pay that kind of dough to "meet sponsors". Could I meet "girlie girl X?" Big fuckin YAY.

The law is the same no matter where you are. porn convention or at church. If a crime happened it could have been reported.Originally posted by NichePay - StuartD
If you did that same thing at a non-porn related trade show or convention, you'd be walking out in cuffs,

Exactly.. and a total over-reaction. Pepper spray at a convention would result in a 6 page thread on GFY with someone taking photos of themselves spraying different webmasters as a gag.Originally posted by LightspeedOk, while I understand what you are trying to accomplish, I'm sure no one is going to sponsor free WEAPONS at a drunken webmaster convention. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen!Comment

Exactly #2Originally posted by TopBucksTrixxxiaI think sponsors pay a pretty penny to be participate - to sponsor events - to offer bonuses - to offer gifts and what not.
In reference to this thread, I fail to see how raising the costs for the sponsor to participate will prevent 'surfers' from attending - or to prevent folks who can't control their hormones from harassing others.Comment

i think people are making a bigger deal out of this than it is. the guy realized he fucked up and apologized, and im sure he learned his lesson now that hundreds of people who werent even there hate him. im surprised this doesnt happen more often at porn shows, ive seen this happen at the bar and parties plenty of times.I host with VacaresComment

True... still, there's no excuse for it.Originally posted by beemki think people are making a bigger deal out of this than it is. the guy realized he fucked up and apologized, and im sure he learned his lesson now that hundreds of people who werent even there hate him. im surprised this doesnt happen more often at porn shows, ive seen this happen at the bar and parties plenty of times.
I don't even know exactly what happened, was it just some walk by groping?
I've had guys and girls slap my ass at the bar... and im a GUY, I imagine it happens alot more to girls. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and get over it, drunk people will be drunk people.
You can't excuse the behaviour, but people make mistakes. If you drop a mouse into a snake pit it's going to get bitten, you put a skantly clad woman into a room of drunk guys.... you get the point.Comment

I just read Aaron's post about exactly what happened... This groper guy sounds like he has serious issues, and should be barred from events.
No matter how drunk you are, you still have to take responsibility for your behaviour... intoxication is not an excuse for anything, especially violating someone else.Comment
