I have password sentry I usually get one blocked everyother month. This morning I wakeup and I get 12 notifications that 12 usernames are blocked. Do I have to worry that someone hacked into my system?

most likely somone has request a password to your site in some cracking channel on IRC and the sentry has stopped them over and over so they have given up.

Nah, you don't have to worry, but you should take a look at the referrer. If they all have the same referrer, you might be able to find where they're coming from (obviously this won't work if they were being shared in IRC, or they were typeins)Comment

some days I have 5-10, some months I go with non at all
luckily i have my shit set so the username is shut down for 24 hours, then allowed back in.....so, most of the password lists have cleared it off by that time and marked it as inactive...Comment

it's a good sign when your site is getting lots of attention from the password guys - means your site is popular and there's good word of mouth going on about it. go take a look at any password forum or IRC channel - the same sites are always being requested and cracked.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting.
