Ask them some really obscure question, like what kind of birds they prefer to eat out of their birdfeeder, or if they think that skim milk is really just water with some white food coloring in it.

I don't know if you have done a lot of interviews with artists ... but best way to get a really good one is too get specific questions shwoing them you know a lot about them . When you show them that kind of respect that 80 % of the journalists don't show, they will talk a lot more about themselves, the new projects and such ...
I've done over 25 interviews with major artists for our magasine and the best ones were always the one where I took a lot of time for researchOriginally posted by rayadp05Comment

I have done a few, mostly with rockbands. The fact that I am naked during the interview kinda takes it away from the serious questions. I do my research on all the interviews I do, and most of the time I get to ask 1 serious question before it turns in to talking about bsOriginally posted by Doctor Dre

I've done over 25 interviews with major artists for our magasine and the best ones were always the one where I took a lot of time for research I always try to show them respect for their music ( because I have respect for people who do that). The problem is that there are not a lot of questions they were never asked, because these people have done over a milion interviews, so I try to ask things they don't expect.
