for managing a members area itself, the best solutions is sitedepth.com

are you looking for something like that or to manage the 'members' themselves?

Hi actually looking to manage the members themselves.
E.g sign up page with out cred card info just name email etc.
Then access as normal to protected directory.

AmemberPro kind of does this but each free user needs to be authorised by the admin, and we want a join and your in solution.
Plus the above dont seem to handle multiple Sites.

      ?

this is so absurdly easy to do, the best thing would be to just get a php ninja whip something up. probably take no more than few minutes to do

Well we looking for basic user admin functions as well
            add/delete user
            generate email list
            block user by email/ip
and require email authen before they get access
            and form based login point.
So it looks/acts like a paysite for joe user but without taking any card info
and gives admin base functions of user control.

Oh and a script that can run on multiple domains with 1 central user admin point

Hi just needs to generate lists, and on user signup, user has to reply to auto email to verify his address. would also be good to show users who never authn email so we can batch remove.
