2257 and old galleries

What are people (we) supposed to do with the 1000s of old galleries with no-doc hardcore content?.. There are no way in a million years that can be fixed

Will CCBILL etc. ban our asses because of these galleries?

If docs aren't available for galleries subject to 2257 inspection due to their content then you'd probably be cautious to delete them prior to the June 23rd effective date.

Otherwise, if the regulation stands as written you'd be subject to inspection, and if you can't produce the documentation you could most certainly be charged the way the regulation is written and posted right now on the federal register.

Less free hardcore would be good for sales anyway. I've been saying that for 10 years.

I took mine down..I figured a blacklisting wasn't as much a worry as jail time. though, I don't do many galleries these days so it isn't such a big deal to me.

Well, I live in Denmark .. so I guess they can't do shit... well, they can probably have my servers shut down, but those can be moved over-seas..

It seems to me there're no worries if you live outside the U.S., as the law cannot reach you. However, it also comes down to the content producers who are starting to tell everyone to remove the hard content or replace it with soft, and if you don't comply, your account will be cancelled. It's funny to me that many producers, such as Karups and Lightspeed, are not allowing ANYONE to continue to promote with hard content, since non-u.s. based Webmasters could still do so without violating the new reg.

We're restructuring our affiliate program to have zipped soft and hard content, so there will be a choice for American and non-U.S. based Webmasters. I don't know how the soft versus hard galleies will convert, but I'm thinking it will probably be a nice edge for European Webmasters. And is that unfair? Look what country passed the law...

I agree with you at all. I don't understand why some big content providers will start offering only softcore content when there will be still many non-US people who can promote hardcore w/o any problems. I hate fucking stupid American laws, fucking 2257 will kill adult biz. very much, but be sure non-US people will give all their best to keep things going on ;)
btw. My suggestion to every content provider from USA is to keep its hardcore content, so we (non-US ppl) can still use it and promote sites!

I hope there will be still some hardcore shit for promoting after 23th . huh...

Biskoppen, I would contact the sponsors you use/used and ask them about it. Tell them you're not in the us, about your old galleries and the current situation etc. If they tell you to delete them or they will delete your account, I guess you have no choice. Be sure to contact the tgp owners etc and just make em blank with no 404 redirect. I feel sorry for the US webmasters, but It also sucks when non US webmasters gets punished this way about this US law

No they can't.
2257 most likely violates privacy laws in some countries which have a reciprocal agreement with US. Gee.. let me think, should I comply with 2257 and give out ID's to everyone (or remove hardcore)..or should I comply with my local laws

Even I am not from US, I already move all my stuffs out of US servers. There are tons of good hosting company around the world. It's not worth to take the risk. I will sure keep my hardcore FHG in the server.
