I've been in alike situation when the druggist attacked me and my friend, he was using a knife, not a gun.. my friend was hurted, druggist cut him an artery and doctors said he had been at death's door.. and we ain't kill the druggist even so we had a knifes too and very strong Russian tear-gas and we might, but tried to benumb him.. he escaped because it was prior for me to call 112 for help, not to fight with him..Originally posted by newbreed

I understand that man, but your rationale seems to be aimed at unjustified killing. Based on what video was presented, there is justification for the officers to use deadly force without any doubt. tough call, the guy clearly had a gun and did momentarily point it at the officer but turned and walked away.. However the cop didn't shoot at that point, he waited untill the guy turned and kept walking...

Your arguments about quick decisions and police shoot to kill tactics are all blown out of the water by the fact that he pointed the weapon and the officer grappled with him and had the gun to his head, the guy walked off and then he was chased, had ANOTHER chance to fire and did not and then was shot in the back. Sorry cops got owned on this one they should have put one in him when he first got out the car and pointed his weapon after that the time of reactionary deadly force is passed. Watched it with a few sherrif's officers I know and they said when they had the gun to his head his brains would have been all over the pavement no questions asked and if not he should have been dropped before he even had a chance to point the second time. They killed him in the line of duty but the people I talked to said that this was sloppy and they opened themselves up to some NAACP troubles most definitely, what a waste of resources...... I feel sorriest for the people of the city who had to pay for this when the SPD got sued.even ADULTS need TOYS

You made some fantastic points. But what we do not know is what was going on in the initial crime that they were cahsing him. as well as his background. The cops may have known that he was high enough, that if they shot him while he was facing them, that he would have killed at least one of them There fore they made the choice to shoot him as he attempted to continue to flee ( Armed ) where he posed an even greater threat to any civilains..

The police did the right thing. The guy next door to me is a cop. The shit he deals you would think there would be more deaths. They do what they have to do. If there lives are in danger they will take the life of the suspect to stay alive. If you shoot them in the leg chances are thats not going to stop them from shooting. cops did the right thing, sure they hesitated a bit when they got out but it went so fast, then when he pointed the gun at them the cop on the right started shooting him then when the cop on the left saw he was still walking he started shooting him also. if a guy keeps walking after shooting him a bunch of times naturally you'd keep shooting him till he's down, especially if he has a gun (unless you wanna get shot!)Comment
