Traffic...to buy, or to trade?

...That is the question. I have content, tons of it. A few good paysites, no problem.

Now I need traffic. Is it worth getting starting from scratch pumping out freesites and trading traffic? Or is it easier to just buy a freesite that gets traffic already to direct to my paysites?

Did I put the cart before the horse?

Please give me your suggestions, opinions, and GFY style, graphically brutal critisizms (if needed).

I would put together some good free galleries with links to your sites on them. Submit them to the larger (and smaller) tgp's like the hun, and richard realm and some others.

If you submit to enough smaller ones, you'll find a nice flow of traffic....

Thanks, much appreciate. kinda started that route...but it's slow going...guess it's the the price we pay.

I wish could just buy a site that does a little traffic (say 100k per day) to jump start the damn thing. It would be worth it.

i'll keep pluggin away. Are CJ scripts frowned upon? I've seen "NO CJ SITES" a few places.

If you have paysites, another idea would be an affiliate program. Startout offering webmasters 60%, and you pay for all fee's.

also, buying a site with 100k visitors per day would be a waste. Redirecting it to your paysites...that 100k will become 5k within 1 week.

If you bought a site getting 100k/day, you wouldn't redirect it..you would build a nice clean, simple tgp and rake in your cash from that.

Yea, definitly, I would set up a nice clean TGP and grow it. I have a TGP called metapix which is doing fine, 300-400 uniques per day with about 100 new posts per day, But I just need that jump start...you know what I mean? I want to get it growing faster. I also have gangbangfest which was getting traffic for no good reason, so I set up a tgp there as well.

I just thought that if there was someone with a good tgp/link list site looking to dump it, I could just buy it and cut to the chase.

We also have a cash program up and running (like I said...we put the cart before the horse). If you can move decent traffic to my sites I'll do better then 60%.

I've bought traffic from choker (http://www.chickentraffic.com) and in the general category it has done pretty good. The Latin cat. was bad, but maybe my site did not appeal to them (http://www.teenlatins.com)
who knows?
But I still recommend choker's traffic... they have credit cards, and they know how to use them ;)
