San Paulo ain't exactly wonderful :-)

That area of land is under a hectare with some construction on it homes don't cost much to build - tho depends on the final finishing and it ya want gold taps/fittings.

If the copter was included - it may be worth it!

Seriously.. there are loads of nice places around in nice locations/environments - I can think of a few, but they don't cost $750K when local labor is from $100 - $400 month.

Definitelly a nice place... but I'd recommend you to keep a low profile while living in Brazil, with a house like that they'll probably start planning a kidnap as soon as you step in.

IMO is better to live in a normal sized house or a good flat and spend cash traveling around and stuff like that.

Internet connection is a pain in the ass, as far as I know the best connection available (domestic dsl www.velox.com.br ) is 768k, that's what I currently have in my office.

Putting in small words, life is good in Brazil as long as you know how to live. But that feeling of security you have in US and many other places where you can leave your car keys hanging, sleep with windows open... that kind of thing, it just doesn't exist down here.
