    Going to a Casino for the 1st time. Any Tips from the gamblers here?

    Going to a Casino for the first time tonight (been to Casinos before but never gambled). Any tips on what games I should play or avoid. Should I just stick to slots or play Black Jack etc.

    I am only going to bring 1k max so its nothing big time but it would be cool to leave there without losing it all.

    Any tips or advise is appreciated.

                      if you play slots play the machines at the end of rows, where traffic passes by them. those are more likely to hit than the others because people stop at random on their way through casinos sometimes and drop a fast coin or 2 in before moving on. it primes those machines more than others.

                                              1.- Roulette
                                              2.- Craps
                                              3.- Slot Machines

                                              If you are looking to gamble while "probably" making some money, then play:

                                              1.- Black Jack
                                              2.- Baccarat

                                                                  My reasoning for end machines hitting better was because it's more visible to other patrons. You're more likely to not continue your exit out the casino if you see someone hit a nice pot along the way, and the more people telling others that they saw someone win is a good thing.

                                                                          put $20 on red if you win its all good just bet again, if you loose double the money, put $40 on red and so on, with $1000 you can afford it to be black 6 times in a row, sure it happens but not very often......

                                                                                      I do blow a lot of money on toys and shit. Wont hurt to blow some money in a casino for a night.

                                                                                          (put $25 chips under $1 chips)

                                                                                          In Craps, only touch the dice with one hand.

                                                                                          In card games, keep the cards over the table.

                                                                                          In blackjack, tap the table for a hit, wave your hand side to side to stand.

                                                                                          If you are doubling or splitting say it so the dealer doesnt screw up.

                                                                                          Tip your waitresses.

                                                                                          Place bills on the table, dealers cannot take them from your hand.

                                                                                          Chips are usually
                                                                                          $1 white/blue
                                                                                          $5 red
                                                                                          $25 Green
                                                                                          $100 black
                                                                                          $500 purple/light blue

                                                                                          Craps and blackjack have the best odds.

                                                                                          Other than that, don't get too drunk that you start playing crazy.

                                                                                          View gambling as enterainment, not a way to make money.

                                                                                          And if at all possible, AVOID SLOTS, video poker is an exception, but look for ones that pay 9 on full houses and 7 on flushes.

                                                                                                      If you play baraccarat, always bet on the banker. Never on a tie.

                                                                                                      If it's possible, play roulette tables with only one "0", avoid the table that have "0" and "00". Many casinos only have "0" and "00". But in vegas and some other places you can find "single 0" roulette, also known as "european roulette".

                                                                                                      When you bet, even/odd or red/black on a single 0 table, you cut the house's edge in half.


                                                                                                      If you play live poker,(not the carnival poker, like 3 card poker, or Carribbean Stud) it's customary to tip the dealer $1 after winning a pot.

                                                                                                      In craps, call 11 "yo". 7 and 11 sound so much alike that everyone calls 11 "YO" so no one makes a mistake.

                                                                                                      If you dont know craps but wanna play do this, when the black and white (on/off) marker is showing (OFF). Place the table minimum on the PASS LINE.

                                                                                                      If a 7 or 11 is rolled you win.
                                                                                                      If a 2,3 or 12 is rolled you lose.

                                                                                                      If any other number comes up, the dealer will flip the (OFF) button to say (ON) and place it next to the number that was rolled. THIS IS THE "POINT"

                                                                                                      At this point place a second bet directly behind your pass line bet. (keep this bet in multiples of $10 no matter what)

                                                                                                      This is your odds bet. You will win if the number that was just rolled is rolled again, before a 7 is rolled.

                                                                                                      If a 7 is rolled you lose both your PASS LINE and ODD's bet.

                                                                                                      If the POINT is rolled. (the original number) you win!

                                                                                                      You will be paid even money for the pass line bet, and different amount for the ODDS bet.

                                                                                                      If the point was 6 or 8, you will be paid $6 for every $5 you had bet on ODDS.

                                                                                                      The PASS LINE with ODDS bet is the best bet in Craps, the house edge is ALWAYS UNDER 1% with this bet.

                                                                                                      It is the best bet in the casino 99% of the time.

                                                                                                      Craps is probably the most exciting game to play.

                                                                                                      When someone establishes a point then rolls a 7, they are done shooting and the dice will be offered to the next person at the table. In clockwise order.

                                                                                                      If you get the chance to throw the dice,
                                                                                                      only use 1 hand, keep the dice where the dealer can see them, and always try to hit the back wall.

                                                                                                                                          Played the simple black jack table (15 buck minimum bet) for 4 hours straight. Plenty of free beer and interesting people to watch. All in all a very good time. . Went with 1k came back with 800 including parking, my cut for dinner, and tips.

                                                                                                                                          Maybe next time I can break even for the entire evening. Anyway thanks again for the tips. Im outtie for the night.
