First lesson - never assume. Even worse, don't make two assumptions.

Second lesson - get out of the closet and realise there is more to the world than living in the US. Many.. na most, democratic countries have LOTS more freedom than the US offers - plus some sense to their democracy.

Third lession - there is no such thing as a "shit" country on the face of this earth. Try and learn a language and communicate better.

Fourth - more a fact than lesson. I live in a far better environment than you clearly have ever experienced in your life. So... kill the ignorance and stupidity :-)
