Model Bullshit, or do I Need a Reality Check

So I am IMing with a Canadian model who lives in the boonies. She did Bangbus and also a popular teen girl site.

She claims BB paid her 1K plus paid her airfare.

She claims she got 500 for the teen site, and the shoot took 90 minutes including paperwork. This shoot is 5 sets of 80 pics and 1/2 hour of video. Video is pretty raw so it would not take a lot more that 1/2 hour to shoot, plus setup time.

Now I can't do a photo set in less than 10 minutes, plus 10 for setup and clothes change.

Is she major bullshitting, or can her numbers be anywhere near right? Does BB really pay that much?

We didn't get that far. I offered 500 for a 1/2 day solo, or 1,000 for B/G with her boyfriend.

Funny thing is, she is a four hour bus ride away. I would have expected she would want a lot of hours vs. a quick in and out.

There are lots of companies that pay the girls those sort of rates, even in Toronto.

Big Naturals paid $750 US plus transportation to a good friend of mine, and she was out the door in 3 hours

Another regular model of mine often gets well over 1k for shoots she feels are pretty simple.

There are always companies willing to pay a lot, but is the girl willing to starve between high dollar gigs?

I think poeple spend too much time and energy worrying about what someone else might be paying for talent and not enough time simply deciding what their own budget is and trying to get new talent at that number. There's thousands of girls out there, if you look hard enough you'll find one's at your budget.

That said, it's typical "stripper math". If you ask them what they make a night, they will almost alwys tell you some astronomical number. True dat. I've come across plenty, which has included strippers, and they will give you rate for their 'services' based on their best night ever in the club. Not what they would actually take.

There have been a dozen whom we've turned down their asking price, and then a week later they call back. This goes for some not in the biz as well. They will try to run the tab up, manipulate how and when they shoot, as well as any number of other factors if you let them.
