I called them a few hours back and they told me they were having some problems and are looking into it. I could access the admin panel again, but now it seems down again :-(

someone should tell them to post a message and explanation on this board.
if any webmasters think Vtel going under is good, need I remind you they are a strong barometer of 3rd party billing and a euro alternative to US billers and with the present administration we have, we need Verotel.
There has been some talk that they have been facing DDoS attacks for the last while but who knows. These outages have been getting more and more frequent and they are cutting into sales quite a bit. The past few days since June 8 have been quite bad and most sales have been falling to our secondary processors.
It's funny when Verotel has issues everyone comes out to bash them or predict their demise yet CCBill goes down all the fucking time and people just talk about the money they will lose in the next few hours and that's that. Sad...
I use CCBill for 95% of my business but Verotel is a very nice company with some awesome features I only wish CCBill had...
outages on your processors are definately nail biting experiences, I guess thats another reason cascading billing is so important ... as are MERCHANT ACCOUNTS! *nudge* ;)
If at first you do succeed - try to hide your astonishment.

and even funnier to me is the fact that people can't get it through their heads that this is NOT the Verotel support forum, Or the TCG-III support forum or CC-Bill support forum. And while I agree it's nice if someone were to post here on certain issues, you can't expect it. It is not their responsibility to post on GFY anytime and everytime something happens.
It's one thing to ask a fellow w/m if something isn't working for them, but it's not a Processor's or affiliate programs job to hire a full time employee to watch GFY because a webmaster may have a problem and doesn't know how to use email or god forbid the telephone.
"We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining- they just shine."

It's amazing there are so many retards just hoping another TTP will go under - especially when there are so few left.
Instead of whining about a company that is performing (and actually "moving forward") - ya may have a bad memory and already forgotten about one of the "big" processors that just blew webmasters for millions?? (It's got five letters - spelling IBill)
There is little doubt processing in the EU is on the rise, - not just because of 2257, but simply because laws exist that protect webmaster funds, unlike the current "big" TTP's within the US who have avoided addressing this issue.
That said, I ain't recommending *any* TTP - they rise and fall on their own account and track record.
