The negatives far outweight the positives. The only ones it benefits are those selling them, and those with the connections to get the best ones.
And I suppose they would be decent for making se pages, but even that is shaky because its only a matter of time before google and yahoo block .xxx by default.
If a webmaster wants to develop an important new site on a .xxx they are an idiot.
As for established guys. Is someone with popularadultsite.com who spent the last 5 years building traffic, branding, etc, all of a sudden going to say, 'hey we are now known as popularadultsite.xxx'. hell no.
