I got the 80gb 7200 Seagate Barracuda. works pretty well. no complaints.

You can pick one up for a lot cheaper than it was before. It's around the $100-$150 I believe.

That's what I'm looking for. Also supposed to be virtually noiseless.

          I payed 140 bucks for a used 1 gig drive in 95.

I remember paying 230 bucks for 4 megs of ram, bumping to a massive 8 megs of ram. ahhh those were the days.

Tell me about it, I started doing electronic music in 92 all computer based, do you remember the "di9gital audio" scene back then?

I had a turbo 486 with 20 megs of ram, running internal reverb effects with custom home build midi boxes controlling my vintage analog modular synths through CV gate and Voltage controller.

Talk about hard to explain what I was trying to do to Computer geeks who all they knew was WIN 93.1 I was running an Atari ST with hard Wired 32 channel midi hahahah

I remember having a freind tweak my sound card thousands of years ago, and 6 hour downloads.
