                  black on gray = bad + ya have to dick with the pointer to get a pic to come up + for some reason it put me in a bad mood.

                      Way to dark. Id go for a lighter grey for the text. The model staying dark would be fine. Just up the text.

                      edit: I would also signify a box where the pictures will be displayed.

                          What do you mean with a box? It has as fixed position in IE, Mozilla dont likes it.

                              LOL, click the links those are Thumbzilla's galleries. I guess he wont mind since his banners are on top of each gall (prefferd submitter know what I mean)

                                                  the pop up pics on each link seem kinda overkill, and of course like everyone is saying, gray on black is just not right. but the concept is there just a little work and it would be very cool. If those pics popped in a stationary spot would be nice.

                                                                                              To dark, popup the galleries to a new window and make the previews a lot smaller. While you are at it, the previews would be better in a central location so they don't cover the text.
