The E46 M3 is probably one of the most overrated cars of our time.
It took me less than 10 minutes of the test drive to cancel my deposit, they took a step backwards from the E36 and it really shows.
Hopefully they have better luck next time...

if youve seen a z4 or even z8 you KNOW you dont want it, its overpriced looks damn cheap and doesnt compare to a 3 or 5 series, its just like the old z3 theyll be sentenced to hairdressers cars in no time.

Ok dont know if thats the same block over there, but the e36 and the e46 have the same iron block, the e46 has better specs obviously. Whats true is with these high powered engines the electronics comes along, more n more ppl dislike the m3s or the brabus or r32 cause they come with a shitlload abs esp etc etc, handling is like driving a regular sedan, I agree.Originally posted by exportyourbiz-comIt's not the same engine. The S54 engine in the M3 is beautiful, but the whole car seemed to stray from what I liked in the E36.
I can agree that the E46 is infinitely more attractive than the E36 but aesthetics are way down on the list of my priorities when car shopping. I'd rock a garbage can on wheels all day long if I had a fun time driving it.
