    Hosting companies and 2257 shit

I have been MIA this past month, I come back and there's all this talk about 2257 shit, which I don't know jack about. I am willing to read about it, so does anyone have links to good posts and reading material, specifically for hosting companies?

What does our hosting company have to do to comply with new 2257 rules? I thought new 2257 regs only have to do with content providers and TGPs, etc. If I understand, it is only my customers that need be worried and liable, not myself, correct?

Should I consider buying some rack space in offshore data centers for my adult industry customers?

At the end are the new regs. But reading the comments helps to makes sense of the gobbledygook, I think.

          And you're welcome.

Man, there are a million 2257 threads. I don't think anyone's really gonna remember the best one. I would just do a search on it here, the search engine was just made available again only recently.

                    (4) Producer does not include persons whose activities relating to
the visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct are limited to
                    the following:

                    ...

(iv) A provider of web-hosting services who does not, and
reasonably cannot, manage the sexually explicit content of the computer
                    site or service; or
                    (v) A provider of an electronic communication service or remote
computing service who does not, and reasonably cannot, manage the
sexually explicit content of the computer site or service.
So I guess this means we are not liable for what our hosting clients put online?
