    Should I Get a Dog?

    I work about 10 - 12 hours a day outside of my house and everyone is telling me that it's a bad idea because I won't be around to train it or keep it company.

    What do you guys think? I have a nice sized house so it will have a lot of room to run around but I can't be home for it during the weekdays and I go on trips a lot. I'm so torn because I've wanted a dog since I was 5!

              Sure, why not. I'm sure there are people here that have busy schedules like myself and still have pets. I'm not going to base my entire decision on it but will listen.

                              I kinda agree. Dogs are needy while cats are independent. But I can't go jogging with a cat or go to the beach with a cat. Hell, I can't even walk a cat and use it to pick up chicks!

                                  You'll need a dog sitter if you are going to be gone that much during the day. Unless you want him/her to not listen to you at all and destroy your house

                                      if i were you i would wait. Dogs need alot of attention and it doesn't sound like you'll have enough time if you work that much away from home.
