Atlantic City Mayor Bob Levy resigned on Wednesday after disappearing for two weeks - while he was detoxing for pain pills, his lawyer said.
"Mr. Levy has concluded that public confidence is so eroded by these circumstances that the only responsible action is to step down," his lawyer Edwin Jacobs said.
