Then I created a softcore site and asked again. This time she said yes, but she remembered me and she'd keep tabs on me. (Which she did)

When I got my first check I had to jump through hoops to get it cashed. She put "Not Negotiable" on the face of it right next to the amount. In banking terms this means that only the person who the check was made out to can cash it. You cannot endorse it to a third party.

The second, third and fourth checks my bank refused to cash even though I brought with me an accounting terms pocket dictionary to show them what the phrase means.

I asked her if she could wire the money instead and she said she would instead, redesign the checks. Now they have a less confusing phrase.

I have been paid on time, everytime ever since.
