Tala's lyric quote actually comes from the really old Fleetwood Mac blues song "Oh Well", written by Peter Green (before Fleetwood was reincarnated as a pop band, albeit a good pop band).

Nope, not thinking of Love and Rockets. I'm thinking of the Rockets, they had only two songs that got radio play back in the very early 80's, and only briefly. One song was called "Desire", and the other one had the lyrics in it that Tala is quoting.
The Rockets played the Canada Jam fest in '81, along with Heart, Ted Nugent, Loverboy and BOC.
I'm confusing them with no one man.
