CDSmith, is it true that when you fuck your girlfriend...
you have to close your eyes, because she is so fugly?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
I was going to post a picture of an underage-looking Japanese sex doll and say "I don't think she's fugly at all, do you?", but that would probably get me banned, so I won't.
I am done with you for tonight, two teen hotties are waiting to suck my cock

Can you still post that in our little 4n4rchy underground IRC channel?

You simply don't get it do you Dark Jedi? You are like that little kid that goes through life thinking he's one of the gang when in fact he/you is just the secretly laughed-at nitwit who has a bad haircut and his mommy dresses him funny.
I found it unnecessary to cock off back at you, because you = self-owned in your first post here :D

Now I can't help about the shape I'm in; I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin. But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I haven't heard that song is like 20 years.
A band called "The Rockets" put that out like back in 1980 or 81 I believe. I think they were out of Toronto.

Holy shit. :D
CDSmith - you're thinking of "So Alive" by Love and Rockets.
Tala's lyric quote actually comes from the really old Fleetwood Mac blues song "Oh Well", written by Peter Green (before Fleetwood was reincarnated as a pop band, albeit a good pop band).
fake nicks are pathetic. if you have something to say, say it, otherwise, stfu.
Hey, do any of you know this guy named Spideriux? They're all talking about him over at WebOverdrive because he just won $1k there. Two guys from here are saying GFY caught him with 10+ nicks. I don't know if he was banned or not from here...but they're saying he was part of the reason that there are no more GFY official contests or something.

Nope, not thinking of Love and Rockets. I'm thinking of the Rockets, they had only two songs that got radio play back in the very early 80's, and only briefly. One song was called "Desire", and the other one had the lyrics in it that Tala is quoting.
The Rockets played the Canada Jam fest in '81, along with Heart, Ted Nugent, Loverboy and BOC.

I'm confusing them with no one man.
I wasn't trying to argue with or diss you. Anyway here are the lyrics in question:
Oh Well
Written by Peter Green.
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh well
Now, when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by my side and I'll be your guiding hand
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to"
Oh well
I did some further searching and found that there once was a Canadian band named The Rockets - they later formed into a band called Crazy Horse and backed another Canadian you may have heard of named Neil Young. This couldn't be the band you cited, since they had long since broken up and the leader OD'd (Neil Young wrote a song, "Requiem for The Rockets" about this).
After even further digging, I did see a reference to a purportedly Detroit band named The Rockets that released a cover of Peter Green's song "Oh Well" (several others have done covers of this song too).
Detroit`s Rockets are not one of the groups people might think of when considering that city`s storied history of great bands -- for a reason, since they weren`t all that special. Still, they have a vital link to the Detroit sound as drummer Johnny "Bee" Badanjek was in Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels and Detroit and guitarist Jim McCarty was also in the Detroit Wheels and went on to join the failed supergroup Cactus. Their 1979 record, Rockets (Turn Up the Radio), had two pretty solid AOR staples (in the Detroit area anyway) in their blistering cover of Fleetwood Mac`s "Oh Well" and the rollicking "Turn Up the Radio." By the time of 1981`s Back Talk, the band was still in the netherworld of being a perennial opening act and really struggling to survive. It shows in the music, as almost every song seems to be aping another act or trying a different sound. Mostly though, they sound like a good bar band of the early `80s, able to crank out good-time summer rock & roll...
That's some good fine tracking there dude. That's exactly the band I was talking about. I didn't know that that song was a cover, I always just thought it was theirs.... but then again I didn't pay too much attention to them back then.
I knew they were long since gone and broke up for sure though, good going on tracking that info down. Those two songs of theirs were actually pretty good as I recall. Seeing Tala's lyrics brought them back to mind. :D
