If you give visitors 2 or 10 or 5 minutes free access to your paysites members area or maybe to a smaller second members area without asking for credit card details would that increase sales? Has anybody ever tried it before?

users may be just to lazy to "take a look around"
maybe better idea is to purchase some review traffic or build small review site alone?

Don't know about that - I don't know the average porn surfer but i don't think it's the lazy bastard with moms credit card. For some reason i think the average porn surfer (that would pay to enter a site) are mostly people that think before they do, that's why i was thinking this idea in the first place.Originally posted by Anothers

I think the problem is "tour should sell"
the tour should show to the surfer what is in members area and what is he suppossed to expect when he signups

Good point but if am working on a site (any site) i always try to get into the porn surfers head, i try to be him and doing that i know i would like to actually see what i would buy, not just the promotion and/or presentation for it. Very nice, if done right that should tease the visitors a whole lot and erase any doubts that the members area blows. I'm guessing the reason so few are doing this is because the members areas blow.
