Consumption Junction hereby announces our first change in policy. Additionally, a few apologies.
We at Consumption Junction have never changed our policies or bent to the will of a adversary. That said, the good people at GoFuckYourself.com and our valued surfers and fans are not adversaries but rather our life blood. We desire to earn your respect and will do what it takes for this to happen.
On the 15th of July. 2004 we posted a video on Consumption Junction (CJ) that displayed men of presumably eastern European origin taking a cat, putting it in a cage then lighting it on fire. The title we gave this video was ?This May Be the Hottest Pussy You?ll Ever See?. CJ has always been a site about sex, humor and violence. We make no judgments and pass no judgments. The website?s mission is simply to archive and distribute the craziest content shared on the web. This part of our business model will not change and we make no apologies for it.
However, recent events and the demands of thousands of concerned individuals have succeeded in making us realize that insulting and/or mocking titles on content sure to touch of sensitivities is neither correct nor necessary. A few years ago this letter wouldn?t have been written but now in 2004 our fan base has grown too large for us to not recognize some responsibility.
We therefore apologize to our fans, clients and business associates. While we make it our business to be insulting, we don?t have to be assholes about it. We can?t promise that we won?t continue to stir emotions and generally raise hell when we have the chance, but we can promise we will now try to be more sensitive with content we know in advance will anger part of our fan base.
For the record, no one at our company condones the abuse of animals. We post videos such as the one referred to above for the same reason we post anything else; the video isn?t boring. So count on us continuing to post content that is legal and not boring, bearing in mind the sensitivities of others.
Lastly, we?d like to apologize one more time to the great people at National Net who have stuck with us through everything over the years. Tony Morgan is a wonderful an that has done much for our business and he was wronged by us during the chaos that followed our release of the video.
