                                                                                      Why not promote a single standard approach?

                                                                                      Why should every webmaster have to pay an attorney for the same advice, over and over again, throughout the industry? 99% of this is just going to be rehashing, padding the pockets of lawyers. This country is chokeing on lawyers already.

                                                                                      The law should be clear. The rules should be clear. There ought to be standardized officially issued and approved contracts.
                                                                                      And only one right way to keep records. And all that should be spelled out in detail on the Justice Dept's website, with model releases in PDF form available for download. Use them, and there will be no disputes. (or draw up your own, if you need something customized, but open yourself up to gambling in court)

I keep all the records provided to me by the content providers I buy from (copy of models' license, models' release) and I assume it will be enough. (Although I bought most of my content way before they started doing this consistently). Apparently, it no longer is and I was just asking for some clairification.                                                                                                                                                                                                       If people would read the proposed regulations then they would not have to ask most of these questions. It's not my fault if their reading comprehension is so low that they are not able to grasp what is being said. If that is the case then perhaps they would be better off working the mop bucket at the mall instead of pushing porn on the web.
