Just to inject a bit of sense into the pissing.
Conversion ratios USUALLY don't mean shit. However, that said:
They are very useful tools when you are doing an apples to apples comparison - ie, this week we buy a spot at The Hun, and send it to our tour.. 100k uniques, X conversion ratio.
Next week we buy a spot at SleazyDream, 50k (no idea) uniques, X conversion ratio - to the exact tour. This tells us the relative quality of the traffic, and is extremely useful. However, it's very hard to seperate this traffic unless you are using some scripting, like sending the surfers to the same tour, but marking them..
