No way. Something's wrong with that book's info then.
If you're 58 you were born in 1947. Such a person could not have "grown up before" all of those things were invented. TV went live in the early 50's, the polio vaccine was invented in the 50's, but most of what's there is right for that age.
A person would have had to have been born a bit earlier than that to have grown all the way up before everything on that list though.
Interesting to see a few people guess ages like 30 or 40 though. Kind of funny, actually
My parents are both in their 70's, and it's always interesting to hear them talk about the prices of stuff from back in the 1930's and 40's, and how things were during the depression. Puts things in perspective for sure.
