    eBay business

Anyone here make any good money doing ebay?

If I ever get out of adult (as children get older, etc) , I'm wondering if ebay would be a good business to get into. I don't think I'd be able to work a regular office job anymore.

You always hear stories about people making money through ebay. I know how to do it in adult but not in ebay. What would I sell, assuming I don't have much junk to sell and am not an avid collector of anything in particular?

It seems like it would be a pain in the ass to deal with every customer individually and make sure you get paid and they receive their product. Whereas in adult I can build some sites, put up some links, and not worry about corresponding with every individual customer.

I made money years ago selling on eBay. Now there is too much competition from large companies.

likewise i made some good bank on ebay, BUT as mentioned above there is too much competition now.

towards the end i was trying to sell DVD's that by all right should EASILY sell at like $12.99 since in stores they retail for like $39.99 .... i had to compete with tons of others selling the exact same thing for sometimes $3 or some shit.

very hard to make bank now unless you corner the market, or have something not found on 15 pages of auctions

      HEY!!

you think porn isnt stable? its 10x more stable than ebay. its hard to find something to sell, and when you do people will copy you until its not profitable.

save money and open up a pawn shop, or run a local service and offer people that you will sell thier unwanted stuff/junk and you just take a small percentage. It works really well in austin

If you want to compete you gotta hit big ... and have a lot of money and a good warehouse ... and a REALLY good organisation .

I sell paintball stuff. I Have someone fulltime to manage listings and inventory. Its a volume equation, as long as we make something, even if its $5 we are happy.

I have considered selling industrial equipment. I flipped a bottle labler I picked up at a bankruptcy auction on ebay and pocketed 6k.

Ive looked at wholesale lots of pocketbikes direct from japan. You can get 200 for 100 a pop and sell for 400.

Also, many people make $ on shipping. With a volume fedex account you can ship a 10lb package express saver (2-3 days) for about 6 bucks and charge $14.95 for shipping.

Whats even more mind boggling is ebay sellers with like 60k in positve feedback. So in that scenario, even if making $10 an item over 2 years thats still 300k a year.

Anyhow, We just started with the paintball stuff and its profitable.

If your not making bank in ebay now you wont in the future. The ups and downs in ebay are hard. The only way to get by now is if your already getting all your goods for $1 or less.
