Just heard on CNN apparently these companies are going to merge becoming the world's 5th largest brewer. Whoda thunk.

Looks like many different things might happen. One or the other may be aquired, thwarting the merger.
Both companies are in decline because their flagship products, which are pretty mediocre, are steadily loosing market share.
The merger is an act of despiration.
