    This is how stupid some people are.

    This idiot calls and tells me he is calling about my ad. I go through the normal thing and ask him to read me the bottom line of my ad.

    "ATTRACITVE 18-28 y/o FEMALE AMATEURS ONLY"

    So then this guy asks me if I have any need for guy like himself. I ask his age...32....I'm 30 and don't consider myself young.

    I tell the guy I have no idea and that I can't help him...Goodbye. Then I hung up.

    The idiot calls back and leaves this message.



    Now....Even if I was interested in calling him.....He was not bright enough to leave his phone number.

    This is a mild case of the stupid shit that I have to deal with every day of my life....And these stupid fucks call at 3am sometimes....As if that is normal business hours or something.

                                                              I used to love doing model and talent recruitments. A 1-week ad in the paper would bring in about 300-to-400 calls. Females, aged 18-30 were typically asked-for, and my ans machine message would specifically say to speak UP, speak CLEARLY, their NAME, NUMBER, and a GOOD TIME TO CALL THEM BACK.

                                                              How many of the 400 callers do you think could manage to comprehend even those simple instructions?

                                                                          Averaged about 60 calls a day, which netted about 15 messages, about half of which were decipherable.


                                                                          Further stats: by the end of such a recruitment I would have about 100 candidates on my pre-qualified list. Meeting times would be set up for face-to-face interviews. Out of those 100, about 50 would show up. Out of those 50, about 20 would actually qualify fully, and out of those 20 only 5 to 7 would actually end up working. Out of those 5 to 7, only 1 or 2 would be reliable enough to continue working with on an ongoing basis.


                                                                          That's the name of the game.... start out with 400 calls, end up with 1 or 2 suitables. Anyone doing even ONE recruitment like this knows pretty quick just how stupid people are out there. It's actually pretty frightening.
