it ain't just about fashion.
if an otherwise normal 18 year old girl gets a visible tattoo it will cost her on average about $500,000 in lifetime earnings.
it will lessen the pool of available guys who will marry her.
it will lessen her available employment choices.
it will lessen the quality of life standards for any offspring that she may have because it will statistically lower the socio-economic group of guys who will marry her.
and for the next 3 or 4 generations the cumulative effects of that choice to go down to the tattoo parlor and put the butterfly on her cleavage or barbed wired bracelet on her shoulder will be huge.
of course, none of you kids will even understand what i'm talking about.
