    2257 and Hot linked POTDs

I have a site that only hot links pictures of the day.

The pictures are not posted on my server.

They are posted and controlled by the sponsors.

Is my site exempt since I am delivering traffic to the sponsors posted picture?

    The site is:

    http://www.heartbreaklinks.com

A serious answer would be apprciated... and don't tell me to see a lawyer.

There are lots of affiliates doing this... and I just want your opinion.

Same boat dude. IMO.. unenforceable.. In addition..been to jail...oh and state prison... over 7 times.. none of which were for ordering online Xanax or file-sharing my favorite movies. It's fun to see fresh fish freakin on this though. I just play on.

        AaronM might have an opinion.

Sorry for calling you out, but I lurk enough to know that you pretty much have your ducks in order on this.

As an affiliate, I'm not shelling out coin for any lawyer. Lawyers are full of shit anyways. If they want to come to my fucking house and look for some record bullshit then let them. They're not gonna waste their time on people like us. I will try and comply but I'm not spending a ton of money, time, etc.. on another unenforceable online law. Don't lose sleep over it.

No youre not exempt, because youre causing the image to appear on your site. This is why thumbnail tgps cant hotlink from someone elses server and be exempt. Youre the one presenting the images in your site.

If you want to keep doing it and be exempt then your sponsor needs to have non nude or non sexually explicit image for you to hotlink.

Im not a lawyer, just going by what I heard from a lawyer yesterday.

Thanks Marcus, that was what I was looking for.

It's ok Walrus, I took a look, and there wasn't anything specific to the issue. -
                Thanks

A serious answer is go see an attorney! You want to make sure you get the right answers to protect yourself.
