I find it ironic that congressman John Conyers Jr (Democrat from Michigan), who voted against specail protections against burning the american flag, has now proposed passing specail protections against burning the koran....
So in his weird-ass socialist view (and yes, he is also a member of the international progressive party), the Flag does not deserve to be protected because that is freedom of speech, but the Koran DOES deserve to be protected, and screw freedom of speech.
