Does an A/C run better on higher humidity?

The A/C in my house runs 24/7 but still cant keep up with the heat.. It's 80+F in my room..

The weather is dry here, even indoors, there is only 35% humidity..

I heard somewhere A/C's use the moisture in the air, so would my A/C work better if I put a humidifier in the house?

Get yourself a swamp cooler. They're about $350 for a good-sized one and they're excellent in a dry climate. They also use a lot less power than the refrigerated units.
Sleep well, and dream of large women.

damn my AC broke today. Gonna cost like $500 to repair it. So instead bought a fan for $20 and so far works pretty good
