The second part I agree with you, completely. Right and left, that agenda is to make us stupid and tell us how to think and what to be concerned about.
I still don't see what you mean by supporting the troops. I can see supporting them by attempting to help stop the war, but other than that, what ways can you support them other than sending them gear directly? Saying you support them and not dissenting doesn't help anyone.
