Also, if you think a board persona isn't reflective of who you are, because it is a form of communication, then you need to put a little more thought into your reality.

a board "persona" is just a "bored" persona ..
no-one here from the text is what you "expect" them to be.
ding dong - the lights are on but no-one is home?

My lights are on, but yours aren't because you missed my point.
People may think there's a difference but this is a form of communication, such as talking whether in person or over the phone.
People who think there's a difference really need to reflect / re-analyze their reality.

I hope you are right, but I can't say I have seen many signs. Small operators maybe, but they often did go that route. The "players" still seem busy building disposable sites and programs: ie if/when they burn out, hell just build some more, launch v3, or whatever...
In fact, I wondered just today when someone wrote along the lines of "great going guys, your programs always rock..." whether he actually thought about the implications of what he said.
You know, if programs spent some time building quality sites that they maintained more consistently, they probably wouldn't have to shave their affiliates.

This is so true! If people even took a small portion of the time they spent on GFY and put it into their site then they would be better off

Any gotchas that I should look out for?
What we did is start our own toy site... www.adultsextoyclub.com and run links to it in our members areas. We use sextoysex as our supplier and it has really worked out great. David Levine runs a great program and pays on time, every time with no hassles..ever.

Theres too much of a "one shot" attitude sometimes. As if the first chance you'll have for a sale is the only chance. So screw em. Thats a shortsighted mistake it seems...
Treat a customer good and they may tell a friend. Treat a customer bad and they'll *for sure* tell 10 friends.
Who doesnt love to bitch about something that pissed them off? Nobody.
