Well let me put it this way. The last time I went out with a female on a formal date was probably over a year and a half ago. So I guess I can understand why she would be a little freaked out.

Went well... I've known her a long time so it wasn't really a big deal. I just did the whole dinner movie/comedy thing. We're both into that so it was nice.

Moms today are a lot more liberal-minded I guess. My mom grew up in the 30's and 40's, she's 78 now. As a kid she would have had me by the hair in a second and shaken the shit out of me if I had of been mouthing off or swearing in any manner.

She never put up with that sort of nonsense from anyone.

As I grew up it became a concious decision born out of respect for her not to swear in her presence. I do undestand that today's moms are different though.
