Anyone working from home should have some concerns. Yes, some of these regulations have always been required. True, most have been ignored by both sides. Some of my concerns;
* A street address at which the records required by this part may be made available.
In the past ... no-one knew ... no-one cared ... no-one checked ... like being gay in the military ... With up-coming regs the Feds are one problem. So is local law, maybe local media looking for a story finding your info from a key-word search. You are now in the spotlight. Suspected of producing obscene materials is bad enough, is your house zoned for business use? Did you just violate a lease or mortgage? Are you close to a school?
* Records are available for inspection from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
That is 50 hours per week. [should I be an ass and assume that weekends and holidays are exempt]
Do you have a home office and hope someone is always home? Do you have a studio or office and, are never late, never leave for lunch, never leave early, never get sick, assign an employee you trust with your future?
NOTE: timing a bust is everything ... this will be view as a bust ... To insure you are in violation this bust will take place the minute your place of business is empty. Now you are fucked. Now you are on the defense. If your office is at home your entire house is being searched. Own guns, kid leave a roach in his room, private photos of the wife in your closet ... etc. Since no-body was there at the beginning of this inspection all evidence will be seized.
If you have actual offices the broken door will assure a long chat with your landlord, all files and computers will be gone.
Fucked first post huh? I'm a photographer, tons of own content, launching a couple of sites that I have worked my ass off on. I should be posting nudes for your rude comments. I'm worried not about model info, I have no idea what to do location wise when I launch the first site ? Sorry for the rant.
