Who prefers IE to Firefox, Opera, Etc?

SMART and BEAUTIFUL people use Mozilla... Like myself.

I like firefox because of its diverse plugins, skin options etc.

And I'm not here to argue just my personal preference.

IE for me...i do too much design and would have to open IE every time to check a page anyway, so why bother with anything else

I switched to opera because I got a worm, only because I missed to install one IE update. now I'm using IE only for few plug-in things. but opera and mozilla are better in every point.

Except for the fact that it's open source and exploits will be patched MUCH faster than WinBLOWS Internet Explorer.

I like the tabbed browsing and security of Firefox, but IE is much faster.
Whenever Firefox gains to much populairity: 1 it will be the target for virus programmers and 2 MS will release a new IE quickly.

IE is preferred by virus and trojan authors 100-1.......

Mozilla is much faster for me though, so there is pros and cons on both.

I like Opera, it's much more efficient for surfing the web than IE. I still use IE sometimes because some things I use don't display properly in Opera. Firefox I didn't like.

I use AvantBrowser for testing my pages in IE. Most of the time it just sits idle in the task bar. Has a lot of the same features that Firefox has.

it's all about security, if or when Mozilla Foxfire get un-security then I'll switch 2 something else. After all it's just a fucking browser, a tool. And the last time I checked, I had never fell in love with a Tool.

I'm not putting down IE or Firefox. I've got those both on all my PC's now. They are what they are. But of the three I've gotten totally hooked on all the cool features Opera has.

I'm a very picky person when it comes to my PC's. Somedays I work 14 hours a day online and therefor I demand the very best software to maximize my productivity and also enjoyment while working long hours at a stretch.

Opera ROCKS! And that's the bottom line for me.

I can't use IE anymore

I've been using IE for years, but firefox, opera is also great. I use IE a bit more then the others cause I'm more used to it

I've always been an IE user, but I may make the switch soon because ive heard so many good things about firefox.

I havent found a personally compelling reason to switch from IE yet. However the night is still young.

According to my server logs, still over 85.8% of my visitors are on IE still. That number is trending down, but still pretty significant.

mozilla still accounts for 1% maybe 2% of traffic on the net. it is a pain in the ass to write code for it. they used to be good but they got stupid.

ie sucks also but 99 to 98% of people use it plus it comes with your OS so why install some other shit that installs more shit and plug ins.

tabs ahhh whatever if you have a good box you can do away with new windows.

As far as worms and updates. duh you have to keep an eye on your box. it is not like a car that you run untill it dies you have to do oil changes. people always complain about Windows because of updates and crap.

Check out MAC stil 1 or 2% of the world use it and even less programs are made for it.

Maybe you haven't heard of Spyware, Browser hiJacks and auto install trojans. The shit that gets installed just by visiting a page or loading a counter which is insane. That's why I made the switch and that's why many others have as well. As far as 98%-99% using IE, that number is pretty skewed. I'd say it's somewhere in the 80's or even slightly lower.

People who NEED a clean computer generally tend to lean towards a safer browser like Firefox Opera, etc.

I like IE. Its fast, I like its feel and function.

Combined with google toolbar its a pretty good combo. I only had one major spyware incident in the last couple years and fixed it quick.

rule #1 with windows alwasy stay up to date. it is simple and automatic. same with anti virus

#4. I don't "fall" for traps. Sometimes people decide to take once reputable sites and fuck with them for a quick buck. Also, sometimes it's possible to misspell a domain and get slammed by popups, autoinstalls, viruses, etc.

#5. Good for you. Run some other spyware programd on top of Ad Aware. You just may find a few surprises. If not, consideryourself in the 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of all internet users who can say the same thing.
