Watching everyones responses seems to point out the problem... THere is one side saying the kid derserved it and the other side says its wrong and the police should have been called to deal with it and parents, etc...

well thats exactly the problem, kids will always test their limits so they can find boundries, you can notice that since the society we live in is so relient on law enforcement and the courts for whats right and wrong(part of the problem in society that they need their government to babysit morality and ethics). The kids obviously had a behavior problem that was not dealt with by the parents, school, peers, teachers, etc... because most likely the parents are the same way, the parents work too much to care about their kids, always worried about money, etc... its really not *one* thing, is the whole circle(i.e. village) that is not raising the chile properly... Ever see schools require students to learn how to live in society? no? exactly... the most important things that should be mandatory in school are not taught, because the elite don't want smart people... oh and were all greedy selfish bastards and don't care about our own societys children.

ever since our society started becoming anti-social this shit started happening (my personal theory). most likely from the proganda causing us to always be fearful of law enforcement, all ties into the soon to be police state/terrorism shit... as soon as the radical christian republicans die then we can make some progress... or just destroy the idea of religion.

ps. i have a talent for getting deep ;-)
