DatingGold.com $200 TGP Design Contest

$200 TGP Design Contest

We will award one person $200 for the design that we like the most. The contest will run until there is at least one design that we like.

The domain to design the TGP for is "AcesWorld.com"

Here are some concepts we have in mind but will consider any:

1. Four Ace Playing Cards with nude women
2. One Ace Playing card with cartoon character or nude women
3. Ace Cartoon Character Logo

Winner will be paid via Paypal or US check.
To allow time for entries we will not pick a winner before Friday July 16th 5:00PM PST.

Ok here's the deal.

Most Gallery designs are $15-$30. We were shopping for TGP designs and they were $50-$150. Not one designer quoted me over $150.

Most banner or logo contests are $50.

This is a TGP design which is basically a gallery design and the price is $200. I thought by offering $200 the $50-$100 TGP designers would want to show off their design skills and win $200.

Sorry if it turned out to not be enough ,but from the brief research we did we thought it was.

We thought it would be a win-win for everyone plus they get $200, guess I was wrong. next time we offer the contest what should we offer for a TGP design?

If I was a designer I would submit something cause a TGP only takes 15 minutes to do if you know how to design. It's bad business not to post something.

you can get awesome designs for under 200$ so for the designers that doesnt charge alot this is a good deal.

I have had designs made for 20$ (actually a nice design) and up to 275$ and alot in between.

for me the most expensive designs have worked out best for me, been giving me better productivity, however it's not only the design you use but more importent is the thumbs you choose on your site and your server speed and offcourse a good and fast trade script (UCJ, TM3) and a fast thumb script (Tmanager Gold) but im pretty sure you allready knew that, so just posting this for some newbies

Try something that really converts

$200 is more than fair for a basic TGP but your examples of what you're looking for include cartoon characters which usually ups the price and the difficulty level.

I'm not a cartoon designer but I'd be happy to whip out a TGP with some kind of a card theme without a cartoon character, but I hate to spend my time doing the work if it's not really what you want..

Every single designer on GFY would submit to this contest if they knew how much return business they could get from us. Like I said it's a bad business move in many ways not to submit something, especially for the small to medium guys /gals.

Well .. for a toon logo and TGP design I charge $255 and up ..
I think the toon is whats driving them away , a TGP is not nearly as labour intensive as a good toon character .

I think the reason that designers are turned off is because its a $200 contest. Like Platnium said, Hell yeah I'll make a TGP for a client for 200 bucks, probably even $150, but for the chance at $200, its just not worth the risk involved.

Why do you think everyone jumped on KRL contest, because it was 1500 for one header. So KRL got to choose exactly what he wanted having probably over 100 designs to chose from. That was defintely worth the risk.

You get what you pay for.

BTW, I would be happy to make you one for $150. No contest though.

i understand, I think what site you submitted is good.. and dont understand why someone else doesn't do something similar. They can say I can do a toon for $XXX if you want that too.
