My experience with web message boards is that not many people use search. Every once in while a newbie would post a question that's been answered previously umpteen times, and get admonished to use the board's search feature.
Also, there are information that goes out of date. What's valid last year or two years ago (e.g. TGP-related info) may not be as valid today.

Idea, link the word Search to the new search tool!
Hackers will soon find and destroy the new search if they are hell bent on causing pain.
I've been book-marking threads of import so I can get to them when needed.
Searching over 4 million posts is a load on the server I suspect. PHP may not be the language of choice for security and speed. Guess lens could hire google to help? Bet that would be a bill.Comment

Deleting old stuff doesnt make sense, but it could be placed behind a paid membership ( f.e threads older than 3 months ).
BTW the new search stopped updating three days ago.I don't use ICQ anymore.Comment
