why do you think a commercial spot during the superbowl is so expensive? why do you think an ad spot on the hun is so expensive? the audience is larger.
more people read posts from the big guys. therefore, they refer more affiliates, which therefore increases the company's potential to make more money.
there's also the publicity buzz created by the sale which is great.
if the company hadn't paid $12K, their competitor would have had the same spot for only $11K.

Like Kitty said people who know how to draw attention to themselves will always sell their sigs! People have bought my sig at GFY and other boards for years, so whether it is a sig market or private deals, programs will always be looking for exposure and more biz through sigs!

8,000 FUCKING dollars for someone's GFY sig? Noone's sig is worth that much. Two things that would contribte to the value of a sig would be postcount and the poster's reputation. The sig market simply makes it a little easier for a lot of people to sell their sigs. Someone first approached me to buy my sig over 2 years ago. Whether there is a sig market or not a lot of people will still be selling their sig for good $$$. We will be promoting our own programs soon and until then I am enjoying promoting companies I like and getting good $$$ for it.
