I admit it does look great - though a bit scary for me

I won't be getting doom 3 cause even the trailers scare the shit out of me.

Half life 2 I will be getting - will probably take a few days of work to sit home and play it

u arent considering that doom 3 is pretty much geared for indoor enviroments and super graphics, while Stalker and several other games are focusing more on expanding what you can do with the game itself and how far you can go with it (in terms of size / terrain), not just what it looks like.

I wouldn't be so quick to say it's going to be better than HL2. I mean, obviously all we can go on right now is the graphics, and i'll say that this stuff certainly looks prettier than HL2. But what i am really excited about in HL2 is the way you can interract with the environment, and how realistically things fold, bend, break, snap, blow up, etc.

If this game can do that as good as HL2, with those kinds of graphics, i'll have an orgasm.

Valid point - what excites me about HL2 is the 'experience', the 1st one really sucks you in to the plot. It was an absolutely amazing game. From what I have seen (I have all the preview clips) HL2 is going to do this too!

There are plenty of those games, of cource you are going to have to go to the arcade or buy the cabinets...... No one was buying those games anymore and also there were issues with the newer televisions on the market.

.... havent read about the game engine... but one thing i like about HL2 is the movable objects... ex. u shoot a car, it explodes and hurts the guys as well, shoot the line out of a hanging iron slab... n it'll fall n hit the guys..
