    Doom 3 finally coming to retail Aug 5th

    I don't usually play computer games, but this one looks pimp
    as hell.

    they've been working on it since the late 90's and it's finally
    coming out.

          the article says it only allows a max of 4 players, which sucks.

          i guess only time will tell.

              Well, I think I'll have to believe it when I see it at this point.. So many delays..

              I just hope the single player game is really good..

                      When they first started developing Doom 3.. John Carmack said it's supposed to try and bring back the single player experience that the original Doom brought.

                      I'm sure the multiplayer will be great .. but it's supposed to be, primarily, a single player game.

                              Yeah I read that too. It's supposed to be like a "retelling" of the original story. Which I hope it is, but with better play and scarier, which it looks like it will be.

                              All the followers picked up on the same ideas, shows how good the idea really was.

                              I spent alot of time at one point making my own monsters, weapons and graphics and maps for Doom just for kicks, lol. I'm gonna have to dig them out someday.

                                  What the fuck, are they stoopid??? No ugly monster are beter than human players! I would have to say that's a pretty bad marketing decision. I would go for an UNLIMITED number of players. See y'all compete with that!

                                                  I used to make Mods for Duke Nukem... had the best mods for its time.

                                                  They'll probably release the tools for Doom not too long after release.
