Not to put a damper on this, but I was once cosidering what you are doing.

.... just to tell you the honest truth right now, (and based upon what other people told me when I brought this topic to the boards), I think you'll find that the profit margin on this type of venture is not worth your time.

Also, feel free to look up my threads for the info people gave me (maybe search for keyword bulldog mastiff I think)

I know this is not what you want to hear.. BUT
There are so many animals in the world without homes

I always point people looking for puppies here Pet Finder

Maybe instead of breeding pugs you could start a pug rescue

I used to breed a small breed of dog - not for money - but as a hobby and for love of that particular breed.

It cost me a lot of time, money and sometimes unbearable heartbreak. It can be rewarding (not financially rewarding if you do it properly though!) but I'd never advise anyone to enter into it lightly.

            Hope that helps

http://www.petfinder.com currently lists 282 dogs classified as Pugs; adoptable pets in need of homes. Instead, most will be put to death to make room for the next batch. It's a lethal revolving door. 6-8 million cats and dogs will be killed this year. And you want to breed more because you think you can make a buck?

The only was to make a serious profit from breeding is 1) win a big dog show and sell sperm or 2) pocket the money you negect to spend on important veterinary care. A lot of people get this idea and think it will be easy income, but all they end up with are worthless papers (big market in selling documents to suckers) and another litter for the shelter.
